But the truth is, Canasta is brilliant, strategic, social, and so much fun. I’ve helped total beginners close their first Canastas and seasoned players sharpen their edge.

And with every game, I’m more sure of it: this isn’t just a card game, it’s a lifestyle.

Hi, I’m Amy, your go-to Canasta girl and the founder of Canasta Guide 305.

My mission? To give “grandma’s card game” the ultimate glow-up and bring Modern American Canasta to a new generation: one hand at a time. As a certified instructor, I created CG305 to give this classic game a fresh, stylish spin while helping people connect over cards, conversation, and a little healthy competition.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me boating, working out, traveling with friends and family, hanging out with my pup Louie, or spending time with my four amazing kids.

Whether you’re a total beginner or ready to level up, I make learning Canasta fun, approachable, and just a little addictive in the best way.
